On this half-day private tour you will visit the Gothic quarter and Cathedral of Palma.
The site of the cathedral was occupied by an Old Mosque , destroyed by cristian troups arrived to this Island in 1229, remains of which are to be found in the subsoil , and later , begun by King James the II of Majorca in 1306 and finish in 1601. The present cathedral, taking advantage of elements of the previous one, consists of three naves and an apse, covered with pointed archies.
The three most important things to be seen are :
1) Rose Window .The Widest in gothic area
2) Creation of Antonio Gaudi . Baldaquino
3) Chapel of Santisimo by Miguel Barceló (contemporary art )

When you arrive in the morning to the Island of Mallorca I wait for your flight at airport I take you around the most important places and monuments .We will see The Highlights of the city and at the end of the tour I will live you ready at airport to fly bach to your destination .
Our day begins with a scenic drive trough the lush and picturesque city of Palma .Cathedral ,Almudaina Palace , La lonja , Bellver Castle the old cittadella...to continue to the charming village of Valldemossa,nestled in the mountains on the western part of the island.
This small village is a jumble of cobbled lanes and houses with walls tottaling up the sunny slopes. The place ideal for writers and music composers seeking inspiration. No wonder then that Fedric Chopin and George Sand spent the romantic winter of 1838-1839 in Valldemossa´s Carthusian Monastery with its beautiful gardens and 17th and 18th century cloisters.
This is only a suggestion some times the clients have other prefferencies so I acomodate to their feelings.
The price is per group not per person .To have an idea , you asking a rate ,we will tour on private car, or minivan .I will get with them in the monuments giving them the information they deserve and taking care of them . For this tour the rate is 500 euro for the whole group. Lunch and Entrance fees to monuments are not included in this price.

Starting from the pier of Palma
This half day tour offers a panoramic tour of the main historical and cultural points of the city. You meet your driver and licensed guide at the pier in Palma where you start by driving along the sea front to show the many architectural styles of the area.
After your panoramic drive you will be exploring on a walking tour of the Gothic Quarter, home to its religious center (Cathedral ), civil center (P. de Cort Square), the royal center (Almudaina Palace) and the old Stok Exchange building (La Lonja ). Next, we fly over Cape Formentor, the northernmost point of the island. Crossing the Tramuntana Mountains and the spectacular Port of Soller. We follow the coastline in a southeasterly direction and pass over Sa Foradada, a remarkable rock with a hole in the centre, eroded by the wind and sea. Next, we fly over Michael Douglas’s house, an estate that can only be visited from the air. We then turn south and head towards Valldemossa Flying back towards Palma we can admire Bellver Castle, the port and the majestic Cathedral.

Valldemossa is only 18 km away from Palma (tour of 3 or 4 hours will be perfect)
This itinerary takes visitors around the streets, plazas and most picturesque spots in the village of Valldemossa, an introduction to the places that witnessed French writer George Sand and Polish composer Frederick Chopin's stay on Mallorca.
The celebrated couple resided in this Mallorcan village during the winter of 1838-39. Its landscapes, peoples and customs made a strong impression on the writer, who would set them down years later in a book entitled 'A Winter in Mallorca(1841).
During their visit, the couple stayed in cells at the Royal Carthusian Monastery, admission to which is not included in the tour.
